These are essential for various process of the body such as growth and development, metabolism etc. There are 13 vitamins that are classified into two categories. These are fat-soluble vitamins and water-soluble vitamins.

Fat-soluble vitamins are absorbed along with fats in the diet and are stored in the body’s fatty tissue and in the liver. The four fat-soluble vitamins are vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E and vitamin K.

Vitamin A plays a crucial role in the human body, such as growth of health, skin and immune system etc. Vitamin A is also essential for the growth and development for bones and teeth.
